Elderly Woman Dies 27 Days After Release From Guizhou Province No. 1 Women’s Prison, Her Body Found to Bear Multiple Fractures

Ms. Liu Shuling(刘淑玲), a Falun Gong practitioner in her late seventies from Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, died on June 23, 2026, just 27 days after being released from a five-year prison sentence served for her faith. She had entered prison able to speak and walk; she left it incapacitated, unable to talk, and, as a hospital later discovered, with several ribs and a thigh bone broken. Grandmother Dies in Prison After Being Forcibly Jailed Despite Failing Health

Ms. Liu Huiju, an 84-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province, died in Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison on May 7, 2026, nine months after authorities forced her—by then wheelchair-bound and in severely poor health—to begin serving a sentence handed down more than three years earlier. Daughter Dies Three Days After Admission to Prison; Authorities Block Independent Autopsy

Ms. Chen Yan, a 45-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Benxi City, Liaoning Province, died on November 8, 2025—just three days after being admitted to Liaoning Province Women’s Prison to serve a five-year sentence for her faith. The Falun Dafa Information Center reported her death on December 2, 2025, describing how she was transferred to the prison unable to walk after 16 months of abuse in detention, and died within days. This report follows up with new details that have since emerged about the authorities’ handling of her death and their obstruction of an independent autopsy.

Shandong Grandmother Secretly Sentenced to Three Years and Imprisoned Just 13 Days After Arrest for Practicing Falun Gong

Ms. Liu Yulian, a 77-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Linqing City, Shandong Province, was arrested on May 12, 2026, and admitted to Shandong Province Women’s Prison in Jinan around May 25—only 13 days later—without her family being informed of any charge, trial, or legal representation. Retired Beijing Teacher Dies in Custody During Third Imprisonment for Practicing Falun Gong

Ms. Yu Zhanqin, a 68-year-old retired teacher from Huairou District, Beijing, died on March 17, while serving an 18-month prison sentence for practicing Falun Gong—her third term of imprisonment for her faith. Her death was reported by Minghui.org and Weiquanwang (Chinese) on March 30. Her husband, two daughters, and brother, who had kept vigil in the hospital lobby for two days, were denied access to her until after she had passed.
