Mr. Liu Wansheng, a 71-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, died on April 29, 2026, only eight days after being released from a six-year prison sentence imposed for his faith.
Mr. You Haijun (尤海军), a 55-year-old Falun Gong practitioner from Zhongning County, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, died on April 13, 2026, while serving a five-year prison sentence at Shizuishan Prison for his faith. His death occurred just weeks before his expected release.
Ms. Yu Zhanqin, a 68-year-old retired teacher from Huairou District, Beijing, died on March 17, while serving an 18-month prison sentence for practicing Falun Gong—her third term of imprisonment for her faith.
