Shijiazhuang No. 1 Detention Center

As the largest prison in Northern China, Shijiazhuang No. 1 Detention Center in Hebei Province has developed extensive torture methods to force Falun Gong practitioners to renounce their faith. The methods used in this detention centre include forced slave labor, iron chair handcuffing, violent beatings, and electrocution torture via picana.

During the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, many Falun Gong practitioners were detained in this detention centre. There have also been credible reports of rape and sexual assault forced upon female practitioners by criminal inmates and police. The detailed list of county and city-level authorities who spearheaded these malignant efforts are recorded here: “Investigative Report on the Persecution of Falun Gong by Wu Zhenhua, Li Zunying, Zang Shengye, Zhang Zhenjiang, Fan Guohua, Guo Sushan, and Ma Wensheng.”

Ms. Zhang Cuiying, now an Australian citizen, was previously detained in Shijiazhuang No. 1 Detention Center in the early 2000s. She was thrown into the men’s cell and raped by policemen.

The public security personnel of Langfang City, Hebei Province received a secret order from their superiors, instructing the detained female Falun Gong practitioners to be forcibly “transformed” and persecuted in two steps:

1. Physical torture, humiliation, and rape.

2. If they are still not “transformed”, they will be murdered. Afterwards, the authorities will claim the practitioner committed suicide due to mental illness.
