Falun Gong Practitioner Near Death in Tianjin Prison

On February 8, Amnesty International issued an urgent call for help on behalf of a Falun Gong practitioner being held at Tianjin prison who is feared to be near death. The practitioner, Zhou Xiangyang (周向阳) , was the subject of a petition signed by over 1,500 of his fellow villagers in August 2011 urging the Chinese to release him.

Argentine Judge Orders Arrest of Top Chinese Communist Party Officials for Crimes Against Humanity

In a landmark decision, an Argentine judge indicted and ordered the local Interpol department to seek the arrest of two high-ranking Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials on Thursday for their role in crimes against humanity committed against Falun Gong practitioners. The ruling follows a similar decision in Spain last month, when the Spanish National Court indicted five top CCP leaders for their involvement in genocide and torture against Falun Gong.

UN Refugees in Cambodia Forced into Hiding after Chinese Embassy Instigates Deportation of Refugee Couple to China

Two Falun Gong practitioners living in Phnom Penh under UN protection have been forced into hiding eight days after the Chinese Embassy in Phnom Penh reportedly pressured Cambodian officials to violate the UN refugee status of two other Falun Gong practitioners by deporting them back to China.
