GHASTLY CONCENTRATION CAMP DISCLOSED; FALUN GONG KILLED, ORGANS SOLD
NEW YORK (03-09-2006) – The shocking existence of a concentration camp for Falun Gong practitioners, operating in the Sujiatun district of the northern Chinese city of Shenyang, was disclosed this past week by the Falun Dafa Information Center (FDI).

According to the testimony of an insider and former journalist from China, the camp holds up to 6,000 persons at a given time, and is equipped with a crematorium. “Nobody has yet to come out” alive from the camp, says the source. “Why was a crematorium built, and why are so many doctors housed there? … The answer is something unimaginable.”

Practitioners are reportedly killed inside the state-run camp, with their organs then sold for profit. “No bodies are more readily available for this business than those of the [Falun Gong] practitioners,” the source added, referring to the hundreds of thousands of Falun Gong being unlawfully held in prisons and labor camps throughout China. The source stated that practitioners are being transferred to the Sujiatun camp from neighboring labor camps.

“This is deeply, terribly disturbing, and confirms our worst fears: that CCP authorities remain intent on ‘eradicating’ Falun Gong, and in their desperation will go to any lengths,” stated FDI spokesperson Mr. Erping Zhang. “International media and governments around the world must pay attention to this and take active measures to investigate the concentration camp and put a stop to this barbarity and madness. We are calling for all possible support from international organizations.” The full story is available at: /displayAnArticle.asp?ID=9368.

    WOMAN RAPED BY POLICE RE-ARRESTED
NEW YORK (03-13-2006) – First-hand accounts from China indicate that 51-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Jizhi has again been unlawfully seized by police. It is believed CCP authorities wish to silence Liu, who has spoken out about the violent rape she suffered while in police custody November 25 at the hands of Dongchengfang Town Police.

The rape, documented by FDI in a statement, occurred during the visit of the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture to China; another Falun Gong woman was raped the same day by police at the station. Liu is said to have suffered deep mental trauma from the rape and beatings she endured, and is on the verge of a mental breakdown.

After exposing the rape Liu was placed on a wanted list by Chinese authorities, with a reward posted for her capture. To protect herself Liu was forced to flee her home and take to the streets, accompanied by her daughter. The two were reportedly arrested earlier this month by agents of the Zhuozhou City 610 Office, State Security, and the Zhuozhou City Police Department.

    CHINA’S NEW NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH
NEW YORK (03-14-2006) – Gansu province residents are being treated to a new, tinged form of neighborhood watch, sources in China report. Communist Party officials have begun offering salaries to the unemployed and retired of various cities in exchange for work as residential “security guards” and “patrolmen.” Their duties? Preventing crime and theft aren’t on the agenda, sources say, as the task is strictly suppressive: to monitor Falun Gong practitioners in their residential quarters and prevent any distribution of informational literature.

New hires are given binoculars and flashlights and assigned to specific building areas where they patrol, in shifts around the clock. The hope is to catch any Falun Gong adherents who might try to inform others of the brutal suppression they face. The new recruits have been seen hiding out in building corridors and lurking in backyards. In Jinchang city alone some 40 such people have been assigned.

HUNGER STRIKE FOR HUMAN RIGHTS CONTINUES, CCP CRACKS DOWN… AGAIN
LONDON (03-14-2006) – A relay hunger strike for human rights in China, led by the prominent Beijing attorney Gao Zhisheng, has entered its second month and is reportedly growing in size and momentum; thousands are now participating, spanning nearly every Chinese province.

The hunger strike has brought together individuals concerned with a range of human rights causes, with the persecution of Falun Gong adherents being among the group’s concerns. The Epoch Times (story) and Amnesty International (story) report that many hunger strike participants have been arrested over the past few weeks. In a move suspected to be aimed to no small degree at the Falun Gong, China’s rulership has hired some 620,000 security workers so as to stop public expression of discontent during the CCP’s current National People’s Congress meetings. Amnesty International says that hundreds have reportedly been arrested (full story).
